»Coolie Miracle«

Hey son of the indentured,
Progeny of salvation,
Bringer of hope,
Child of prosperity,
Like slaves we bore the scars of indignation,
In you we vested our sacrifice, the new culture,
Your grooming,
A language lost, a new one gained,
A generation past that scorched in the sun,
A generation anew with wealth bestowed,
Underlined by education,
Hey son of the indentured,
Progeny of the globe trotters,
In you lies, hope of 150 years,
You are the streets paved in gold,
You are the liberator,
You are the Coolie Miracle.
