»Happy birthday in heaven«

by Louise Isaac, June 22, 2022

Happy birthday In heaven
never gets easier so say,
You should be here with us
To celebrate your day.

What I would give to hear you call me
daughter, Or here you tap at the door
And shout SCHOOL.. Emelia
Come on, let’s go.

There’s no sound of your walking stick
Or over excited dogs,
No sarcastic jokes or taking the mick,
Or simply just calling the cats…. Mogz

Sometime for a little reflection,
Thinking about memories of the past,
How has it been another year,
Why is time going so fast.

But remembering you is easy,
Because I do it every day.
Now I’m just left with the thought
Of everything I never got to say.

For now we’ll just say goodbye,
And blow a kiss to heaven above,
To wish you a Happy Birthday,
And send you all our love.
