»Love«

by Victor Ugochukwu Akpokwe, February 6, 2018

Some say love is like a river
That overflows the tender ridge.
Some say love is like a razor
That leaves the heart to bleed.
Loves takes a man from his comfort zone,
Leaves him in a state of desolation.
But I say love is like a man,
That comes to you with a sweet tongue.
Talk you to the possibility of life,
Makes you feel unbreakable,
Leads you to the unknown,
But deserts you at the center road, A road of no going back,
Leaves you with regrets.
Makes you feel never to fall in love again.

»The Princess Of Pretence«

Here she comes, wandering in my thoughts, / Smiling at me with all pleasantness, / Adored in beauty, / Like the Roses of the garden, / She comes with a hard mind, / Which was soften by the heats of love, / Never knew she was a Princess of Pretence. / / In her caring arms I found love, / In her  sign in to read more »
