»Ugly Duckling«

by Keerthana Prabhakaran, July 17, 2014

She enters the class...
Full of hustle and bustle,
She finds her corner,
Where no one can see her drizzle,
When everyone else floating in the gossip air,
She is all left with loneliness,
Her only friend in despair!

Bullying and teasing were never new to her,
She is always followed by a bunch of hooligans,
Never forget to hurt her,
Her feelings, no one can trace
After all her heart bruises,
She never forgets to wear that smile on her face!

She is not the apple of anyone's eye,
But to her dad she is always the princess,
Even she can't deny!
Wherever she went, she is always received with a frown,
Neither was she accepted by her peers,
Nor she cared to mourn,
Unanswered goes her tears!

Since then Silence is the only language she spoke,
Life did move on, running ahead of her,
She believed her life is nothing but havoc!
She always adores the story of UGLY DUCKLING,
A fairy tale she has been holding on for years,
Since she was this girl with the freckles!

She started a love for colors,
The day people called her colorless or color-less!
Loosing herself to the colors of nature,
She found her inner colors on a blank canvas!
With brushes and palettes she matured,
She did not turn into a beautiful swan as in fairy tales it was,
But she did found one through her paintings,

She enters the class,
This time to the center,
She teaches "how to create beauty?"
through her art...

She heard kids giggling so loud,
So many fingers pointing to a little boy,
Laughing over so hard; did they find fun!
She walked up to the corner,
She pointed her fingers too,
But to the boy's heart,
And said "that is where beauty begins"

»For no reason, above the sky«

For no reason I fell down, / So why do I need a reason to fly? / So I set my wings to soar high, / High above the sky! / / For no reason I cry, / So why do I need a reason to smile? / So I shed off my tears, / Laugh above the sky! / / For no reason I give up, / So why do I need a reason to try again? / So I  sign in to read more »

Lured by my hearts caprice, / I can eat thousand forbidden fruits, / I can dream a thousand dreams with you, / I can live in a lackadaisical world of you, / I can sneak from veracity, / And make a fool of the truth, / I can make the presence go invisible / And elope with my delusions of you, / I can wish  sign in to read more »

»Imperfect«

Baby you are, / The silly billy guy, / Your words no one can buy. / So lazy you are, / Even to get me a flower, / Playful and funny sometimes, / Suddenly you go with this serious mime, / You are perfectly imperfect in everything I see! / / Baby you are, / This big- mouth guy, / Never ever kept our secrets  sign in to read more »
